Contestants perform every week, for 12 weeks, in front of a live audience, promoted by the contestants themselves, packed with their fans, where they are critiqued by a panel of celebrity judges from the entertainment & music industries. These judges are from several disciplines ranging from major record label executives, professional recording artists, musicians, entertainment management companies, models, actors, actresses, & dancers.

Contestants are judged on their vocal performance, stage presence, originality, appearance, and over all appeal. Filmed LIVE at Hal & Mals Restaurant in Downtown Jackson, MS. Contestants are eliminated every week based on "ballot Flyers" of each contestant brought to every show those contestant's fans and supporters.
